We offer a large room for 1 or 2 guests with a private toilet and sink (the bathroom (shower) is shared) in an old, tipical but beautiful apartment in the middle of vibrant Brussels. The space
We were hoping the pictures could speak for themselves. But it might be good to know the entrance of the apartment is on the first floor and it has two floors in total. Living room, kitchen and (shared) bathroom are downstairs, the bedrooms are upstairs. So you'll have to walk an extra tipis stairs to reach your room. That's free cardio, specially for you. Wellcome on the former Saint-Géry Island! This used to be the largest island in the Senne (Zenne), a river that still runs through Brussels... underground. This Island was named after Saint Gaugericus of Cambrai, who built a chapel here around 580. Hence the name "Brussels", which comes from Bruocsella or Broekzele, meaning "settlement in the marsh". It ceased to exist as an island when the Senne - which was an open sewer by then - was covered in the late 19th century. The good about our neighborhood? It's smack in the middle of everything, bars, restaurants, sights to see, public transport,... The bad? It might get pretty crowded and noisy in the evening/night. That's why we provide you with earplugs ;-)
