Nearby is the Lake of Kournas protected under Natura 2000 since it is home to ducks, eels, water snakes and the Diamondback Terrapin with its beautiful landscape, lying in a valley among the hills. An ideal place for afternoon walks in the countryside or to ride a pedalo on the lake.
