The nearby village of Makrigialos has a charming harbour with lots of taverns to spend the evening. The restaurant "Haris" is close by and is renownend for its fantastic "nouvelle cuisine greque", they do amazing seafood and salads. The nearby mountain village Pefki has a marvellous restaurant as well called "Pepperia". Try the "strange salad". The closest cities are Ierapetra and Sitia, but also Aghios Nicolaos can be reached easily for an evening out or shopping.
