The house is located in the center of Achladia village. It offers great view to Sitia bay, from the balcony . Its location gives the opportunity to the traveller to explore the east part of Crete.
The place is wonderful for those who are looking for a quiet place in summertime, away from the noisy beaches, or at any time of the year. The town of Sitia and Sitia beach are at 9kms distance, though.

The space
The house is a maisonette of about 65 cm2.
The kitchen lies on the ground floor. A dishwasher, a sandwich maker, a digital kitchen scale, a multi-mixer, a frappe coffee mixer and a greek coffee maker (gazaki) are available, among other equipment. In the dining room, a sofa of size 1.90 x .70m can be used by one person to sleep. The bath also lies on the ground floor.

During your stay, you can visit the traditional cafenio, opposite the house, as well as another taverna/cafenio in the village. You can have a coffee there or a raki (local spirit) which is served with a meze (an assortment of small dishes which accompany your raki). Both places are worth going as you can taste there the local food specialties.
Families with kids of any age, would feel safe to let them play outside and get to know the local kids. Especially in summer time, they all gather every evening at the old-school yard and everybody is welcome to join the company.
The district of Sitia has a considerable olive oil production of excellent quality. You will be able to taste and cook with olive oil of our own production, during your stay in Achladia.
