Rue des Minimes (Miniemenstraat in Dutch) is a street in Brussels that goes from the rue du Faucon to the Place du Grand Sablon. Until 1895 it gave in the picturesque rue du Coq-d'Inde which debouched on the place of Sablon but which was razed to allow the street of Minimes to reach there directly.

It owes its current name to the Minimes, who built their convent there in 1621. Both its name and its length have varied over the centuries. In the fourteenth century, it was called Blaerstrate, it should have been a Jean Blaes who lived there around 1300. In a document of 1374, it is also called Super Zabulum against Obbruxellam versus (Where we go from Sablon to Saint-Gilles). This long artery joined the southern end of Laines Street. In the 17th century, the northern part took the name of rue des Minimes, while its southern section took the name of rue des Marolles, a corrupt form of the name of a religious order that was established there, the Sisters of Mary or Mariam Colente
