Travel Details from the host -> Hi there, I am Niki, the host of this sunny apartment. To tell you a little bit about myself, my family comes from Kalyves, I was born and raised in Kalyves, and like every young person, I felt the need to leave and go explore the world. I came back many years later and I decided to live there, in this family house where my family used to live. In Crete, we like to share the beauty of our landscapes, the deliciousness of our food, and the happiness of our daily lives, that's why I decided to transform this house and make it the perfect pied-a-terre, right in the village center, to explore the surroundings. Thanks to three rivers crossing the village, Kalives is in a fertile valley full of greenery and surrounded by olive groves. This oasis will make you feel at home on hot summer nights. The village is built like an amphitheater between two hills, it is not only one of the greenest places in Crete, it also has beautiful beaches, a lovely harbour and a lively village place (right next to the apartment) where people like spending good time, discussing and playing games with a glass of Raki. This village has a unique vibe to me and I would be glad to share it with you!
