Our house is a very nice typical Cretan village house of about 50m2, renovated one year ago, located on a quiet lane just a short walk from the centre of the traditional village of Kritsa and 9 minutes drive from the city of Agios Nikolaos, yet only 9 minutes from the nearest beach. It consists of one bedroom, a bathroom and a large living room with an open fully equipped kitchen.

The space
Our house is a 100 year old traditional house, renovated in 2017.
It is 50m2 and consisted of a living room with an open kitchen, a bathroom and one bedroom.
In the living room there is a sofa, which can be converted to a double bed 200cm, a coffee table, a wood burning stove for winter use, TV and a dining table for 4- 6 persons. It has an amazing view to Kritsa olive grove, the sea and the church nearby.

Kritsa is one of the oldest, largest and most picturesque villages in Crete. It is built amphitheatrically on a rock hill, named Kastellos, and is surrounded by olive groves, at an altitude of 375 m. When Kritsa is lit up in the evening it has the form of a scorpion.
Old Cretan customs and traditions are kept alive. The narrow streets are visited by many tourists all the year round. The main street becomes a sea of colour with tablecloths, rugs and other goodshanging outside many of the shops. It is famous for its local arts and crafts, particularly its hand-wooven textiles and clothes. There are plenty of souvenir shops, tavernas and cafes in Kritsa. There is also a supermarket and a pharmacy.

The house is built at the oldest part of Kritsa, in the neighborhood of Palemilos, 2 minutes’ walk from the centre of the village. It is in a unique setting as most of the houses at the neighborhood are recently renovated and populated by great people.
