Nice apartment, less than 2 km from the historical center of Ghent. Superb view (sunset!) from the 12th floor (one of the highest of Ghent).
Free parking (which is very rare in Ghent).
Direct access from/to the motorways avoiding the city traffic jams and anyhow very quiet.
Old fashioned 70-ties apartment with spacious living room with parquet floor and separate income and kitchen.

The space
Enjoy the sunny view on the city of Ghent.

There is a spacious living room with a sofa, unfolding in a double bed, sitting corner and a dining area (table and chairs). The fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, expresso machine, toaster, water cooker) and the bathroom (with washing machine) are separate and of course there are the sunny terrace (10.5 by 1.3m) and the great view (although we cannot guarantee the sun). Currently however, the terrace is hardly useable due to the scaffold (smoking a sigaret on it is still possible).

'Ghent is like Bruges, but alive'.
Check the the blog: "Who knew Ghent, Belgium was the prettiest city in the world?" on Americablog, from its founder John Aravosis. I couldn't describe it better.
The apartment was in the seventies the first breakout from the city center for middle class people. Still close to the center, but also close to highway exit (which was an asset at that time). The apartment is at the sunny backside. No annoyance from the main road at the front side and a wonderful view on the sunset.
There is a supermarket and a 'suburb center' at 500m.

Travel Details from the host -> We are a Belgian couple that likes traveling, meeting new people. We love to share our apartment with airbnb. During our travels we emphasize on 'experiencing' rather than on 'visiting'. We appreciate authenticity.
