My house situated in a traditional cretan village in the south,called sivas, only a 10 min. drive to Matala, Komos, Faistos will be excellent for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. It is at the quietest zone of the village, however the village square is full of life and restaurants and only a 2 minute walk. The balcony has a spectacular view of Psiloritis and the surrounding area, where you can just relax or enjoy your breakfast!

The space
the traditionally renovated stone house is a two floor maisonette 48sqm, with a small front yard, and a balcony. The ground floor is the kitchen with the fireplace, which can be used as room for the extra guest. The upper floor is the bedroom, and private WC.

There are many trekking routes passing through peaceful olive trees meadows around the village and excellent restaurants with cretan cuisine at the square which is only a 2 min walk from the house. There are 2 mini markets,two cafes, a butcher's shop and a bakery all within walking distance. What is more , a short walk in the village will offer a glimpse of some of the numerous newly- renovated traditional stone houses which decorate its narrow streets. Just behind the house there is also a small chapel build by my parents dedicated to Saint John the foreigner as he 's known in greek (Ai giannis o ksenos) , right on the spot where his house used to stand a bit more than 1000 years ago . A leading figure among monks responsible for establishing some of the most prominent monasteries and churches in Crete like the ''Miriokefala" monastery of Rethimno . I can arrange for the key to the chapel upon request
