Modi is an ancient village just 1500m from the cosmopolitan city of Platanias, and it is surrounded from olive and orange trees. Its an quiet village ideal for hiking. Gerani is the closest town to Modi 1200m and it has 2 local markets, few taverns and cafes, an souvlaki- pita place and a pizzeria. At 1500m getting in Platanias you find the closest big supermarket as Lidl. At Platanias there is all kind of shops you like as souvenir shops, clothes shops, pharmacies, atms, minibanks, cafes, taverns, restaurants by the sea, bars, nightclubs and playgrounds.
Modi is an ideal place to stay if you want quiet vacations and if you want some noise of an cosmopolitan town you pop down to Platanias only 5 minutes by car.
Also Modi is close to the international highway without hearing at all the noise of the road and that does it an ideal spot if you want to go quikly to the center of Chania from the east 14 km or from the west is Balos lagoon 35 km from the villa or Falaserna 33 km.

It comes as no surprise that they are able to anticipate every possible need, as they have been doing this for a long time: Kriti Xiraki has years of experience working at her family’s hotel, Mediterranea Apartments, while Manolis Tzanakis has owned and managed reputable pubs in Chania.
