As you drive up towards the house, you see a small cluster of traditional white houses with green fensters surrounded by lush green trees. As you step out, you will see on the right a beautiful kept terraced garden, with some nice corners where you can sit below the shade of the trees, have something to eat and enjoy the view of the Mirabello bay. Aloe house is the first house, only one flight of stairs up. As you enter the house, you find yourself directly in the living room, with a dining table on the right, a comfortable couch on the far wall and the kitchen on your right. Still, it is only 6km from Agios Nikolaos, the main town of the municipality and capital city of Lasithi. With its beautiful beaches of Ammoudara and Almyros between you and it, and the town itself with its famous “bottomless lake”, it is ideal for someone to visit and spend the days and nights there.

A bit to the north east from the house, you will find one of the most luxurious hotels of the neighbourhood, the 5 star Daios Cove hotel. That proves that the location could not be better suited for your holidays!

To the south, it is only 3 km from the town of Istro and anything you might need, be it a supermarket, a pharmacy, a gas station or restaurants. It is just under an hour from the airport in Heraklion.

Travel Details from the host -> Hi! My name is Giorgos Tavlakis, an engineer by trade. As such, I have actively participated in the planning and sketching of the house, which is done trying to balance the house and its environment as much as possible. I have also actively participated in the construction of the house, not just as an engineer, but by partly building it with my own hands. I am happily married and have two beautiful daughters, which you can see in the photograph. They are much more photogenic that me, trust me!
