Villa Isychia, in the hills above Andros’s main port, has its own walled grounds, a mature Mediterranean garden, a private pool and stunning views of the Aegean. There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 with double beds and air-conditioning, 1 with 2 single beds. A cot is available. The living area opens on to a shady terrace for alfresco dining. A well-equipped kitchen and the two bathrooms are well appointed. Supervision of small children is required, with unfenced pool, slopes and retaining walls.

The space
This architect designed house has been our holiday home for family and friends for the past 16 years. It is set in the hills above the main harbour of Andros 7 minutes away by car. Walking: Many of the old routes of Andros have recently been re-opened and Villa Isychia is ideally suited as a base for walking on the island, being situated alongside the old donkey track which is part of Route 14 from Gavrio to Amolochos. Check out "Andros Routes", edited by Olga Karayiannis, online for detailed information about the routes and the project to open them up, supported by funds from the EU.
The port of Gavrio is well equipped with traditional Greek tavernas, bars, as well as grocery stores, butchers, bakers, a fish shop, gift shops, anchorage for yachts. At Batsi, 8 km to the south there are further facilities including an open-air cinema, night clubs, and a modern marina.

Other services in Gavrio include ATM/banks, chemist, medical service, and car rental (which is advisable and should be booked in advance).
