Excellent public transport connection: Station "Karlsplatz" with underground line U1, U2 and U4 is only 4 min walk away.
With line U1 you just need one stop to "Stephansplatz" where you find the famous St. Stephans Cathedral and the center of the old town. With line U4 you get directly to "Schönbrunn" or to "Landstrasse" where you can change to all trains going to the air
