Marianthi's house is a picturesque newly renovated(2022) and fully furnished old house in the heart of the old town of Chania. It is a traditional stone house and was built in 1920. It is located just a few steps away from the Venetian harbor and the city center. The house provides all the comfort to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay. Available all year round, it is an ideal spot for families, couples travelling together and friends.

The space
Marianthi's house is a stone two storey house with two spacious living rooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area and an atmosphere terrace on the roof that offers magnificent views of the old town. The house is 80sqm and is suitable for a total of 8 guests. A bed for babies is also available if required.

The house is located on the west side of the old town with no traffic, just a few steps from the old Venetian port and the city center.

Also a few steps from the house are the Cathedral, the Catholic Church and the Synagogue.

Travel Details from the host -> I am Marianthi and currently i live in Athens where i work. Travelling is one of my main interests. And some more like music, dance, nature, socializing, learning and understanding. I grew up in Chania town of Crete island and i always return to this place especially during summer. At that moment i help my parents, Ioannis and Elpida, to accommodate visitors of Chania who would like to meet our town. The house we offer is situated in the most beautiful part of Chania, the pictoresque Old Town next to the Old Venetian port. This house belonged to Marianthi, my grandma's grandmother who went to live there for the first time in 1920 after getting married. The house is fully renovated, yet there are few things remaining nowadays from the very past such as bronze cooking equipment, well-maintained. Being a strong believer of hospitality and sharing i can offer advice and information regarding the town, especiallly for those who would like to meet some more other than the touristic side of Chania and dive into the traditional colours, tastes and aromas of this beautiful town.
