The villa is situated at Kavallariana settlement, at Apopigadi mountain, about 1.5km away from the historical beautiful village of Kandanos, at distance of some 62km (38,5miles) west – south of city of Chania Crete. Chania airport is located at a distance of 15km (9,3miles,10 min drive) from city of Chania and 77km (49 miles, 1hr drive) from the villa. The view of the hillsides is breathtaking, and the surrounding area is dominated mostly by olive, oaks and cypress trees. The location is an excellent starting point for day trips: At Kavallariana visit the church of Archangel Michael also known as Astratigos. The church is very simple exterior as almost all the churches of West Crete. However, inside the church, the scenery changes dramatically by the rich frescoes covering every wall of the temple. The painting took place during Venetian Era Occupation. Many Byzantine churches and monasteries are found in the region around Kandanos and most of them date from the 14th and 15th century.
