Wieden is a very nice and cozy district, full of shops, art galleries and restaurants/cafes. Being very close to city centre, it has many highlights within 15min walking distance: Belvedere, Karlsplatz with Karlskirche, Naschmarkt, Opera house, Secession, Albertina, Naturhistorisches and Kunsthistorisches Museums, and many more. What I particularly like of this district is that it is not too gentrified, it still preserves kind of a genuine Vienna touch with old shops mixed with modern brunch places, and secondary streets are very quiet and calm. If you are a big brunch fan, there is a full street dedicated to it, it's Schleifmühlgasse (5 mins walk from my place).
