Mochlos is located 48km east of Agios Nikolaos and 35km west of Sitia. A special part of Mochlos is the island, which is a very important archaeological site, it is considered one of the largest Early Minoan settlements in Crete and is only 150m from the shore. On the island is St. Nikolas church.
