Some of them are Agios-Ioannis (10 minutes on foot) , Agios-Antonios (35-45 minutes on foot) and of course the great monastery of Koudoumas (one and a half hour on foot). We strongly recommend you to visit all of them during your stay. The village has a cafeteria (Gialos cafe) above the beach where you can try some traditional foods and enjoy your coffee with a great view a few meters from the sea. There you can ask everything you want about the area including more as the people working there are very hospitable an helpful. You can buy some basic stuff from the mini market of the village which is in the center of it. We suggest you to take supplies from Heraklion or a village on the road coming.
